A very cool Application! I like it very much :D you can write what ever you want und you can protect your text with a Code. So nobody except of you can read your texts!
This is by far my favourite app for writing. Its so simple to use, and has such a great organization system. It made long bus rides go by fast.
If you have searched for the iOS equivalent of the popular WYSIWYG none-Mac store app called Typora then you have found it with Matcha.
It combines markdown, quick image & tables, and a clever toolbar of (keyboard/utility) shortcuts...
I am hoping that it doesnt get forgotten as the developers focus on their other products (eg Matcha 3), and that they add more features such as mathjax equation support..
I like this app, its easy on the eye and easy to use. Great stuff.
I love this app when writing in English, but Ive noticed when writing in Chinese that it will lose the last half of whatever I was writing. The first half of the paragraph will be saved but seems to stop saving part way, e.g., when entering in the pinyin mode, the last pinyin letters I typed in will be retained, but not converted into characters, and no further characters entered will get saved. Would appreciate a fix for this.
Solves my purpose when it comes to creative writing. Its got a clean yet professional look and creating headings and sub headings have just gone easier. Totally recommend
Some bad moments
I created a test document and couldnt get back to the main page. Coding error Im guessing.
I enjoy Matcha, and i have a problem with the new orange logo. Matcha is Green. Matcha inspire peace. Your work is very beautiful but ... The logo made contradiction in my writters head.
The ad was misleading. Editing word documents was not possible. Also not user-friendly in creating new documents. I was not able to open word files in the app. Better to stay with Pages if you are looking to open word documents and editing and creating new docs. A total waste of my money.
Does not edit/save true RTF documents, only text files with MarkDown. Use only if viewing MarkDown formatting is important to you. Otherwise, dont buy it.
Also, app load time is much better with apps like PlainText and WriteRoom, which deliver virtually the same functionality as this app (that is, plain text file editing with aesthetic sensibility).
Nothing special. Cant change font or have exact size change, only big normal or small. Not worth 5$
Wisdom Writer was way better. Im not sure what they were thinking with this update. I got frustrated and purchased Pages by Apple. Cost a bit, but its much better than Matcha.
